English Muffins

English Muffins are one of my favorite bread recipes since it is simple and foolproof. This recipe produces a very forgiving dough that you can use either bread flour or all-purpose flour, and you will get tasty muffins. I feel it is foolproof because it is hard to undercook these muffins. Since this recipe uses both cooking on a griddle and finishing the muffins in the oven, they turn out perfectly.

Panettone

This is a problematic bread to master, but it is worth a try; once you get it right, it is addictive. A loaf of this bread is gone in my house in a matter of hours; It also makes a very decadent French toast.

Breakfast Cookies

Breakfast Cookie is my husband's favorite cookie. I enjoy this sweet and hardy cookie because it is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or afternoon tea. It is a fiddly but delicious cookie for your mess.

Mandelbrot

Mandelbrot or Mandel Bread is a cookie I grew up having for a special treat. The recipe my mom used was in our synagogue's cookbook, but that cookbook has long been misplaced, and I missed that cookie. I rediscovered its recipe many years ago on a playdate for my daughter when she was little, at a friend's house. This is simple to make a cookie that goes perfectly with a cup of tea or coffee.
